Tappahannock Methodist
We seek to be the disciples of Christ, welcoming all as we nurture and support one another through service and outreach.
United Methodist MenMISSION STATEMENT:

The men’s program of the United Methodist Church aims “to help men grow in Christ so others may know Christ.” Emphasis is on evangelism, mission, and spiritual life. Four areas of concentration are leadership development, church renewal, ministry to the poor and needy, and global health. At Tappahannock Memorial, the UMM conducts a monthly meeting – generally on the second Sunday of the month at 8 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Breakfast, prepared and served by a rotating roster of volunteers, is followed by a brief devotional, and business reports from secretary and treasurer and pastor, as well as old and new business, while cognizant of attendance of some members at the early morning (9 a.m.) service.

Routine activities include conduct of twice-yearly “Time-Change Breakfast” for the church, annual Valentine’s Day “Sweetheart Banquet,” the Christmas season’s “Angel Tree” program to provide toys for children of incarcerated parents, regular cash contributions to the Community Food Bank, a token presentation to high school graduates, and participation in the annual INASMUCH program of Essex Churches Together (ECT), as well as lawn maintenance and similar service to the church, including recent improvements to the east-side parking lot and the information technology upgrade of church communications to enable our web site improvements.

All male members of the church are invited and welcome to participate, as is the pastor, regardless of gender. Come, join with us!
